If you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to read the article, then the best sublimation ink for Epson 7710 (and also the best sublimation ink for Epson 7720) is Printers Jack with syringes.

Epson printers are by far the most popular for sublimation among hobbyists, and this is largely due to the ease of converting them from inkjet to sublimation, and the low price, yet high quality of sublimation inks available.

Unfortunately Epson do not manufacture their own sublimation inks for the Epson WF 7710 and WF 7720, meaning that you must go to a third party, with lots of confusing options to choose from.

Many of the cheapest generic branded inks tend to not be colorfast, can fade in sunlight or when washed, or just don’t give a very accurate color palette. Obviously you want to avoid these as they can make your expensive sublimation products only fit for the trash.

This quick article shows you the best sublimation ink for Epson WF 7710 and the best sublimation ink for Epson WF 7720, and explains why this is the ideal Epson 7710 sublimation ink for you and your printer.

The Best Sublimation Ink for Epson 7710 and 7720

Based on my extensive research and testing of sublimation inks, only one brand really stands out for the Epson WF-7710 and WF-7720 in terms of both value for money, colorfastness and overall quality.

My Top Pick

Inexpensive & Vibrant Colors

  • Excellent value for money
  • Vibrant, bold colors that transfer well
  • Overall accurate colors, although you may need to play around with printer settings
  • Includes syringes which make filling the cartridges much easier
As one of the cheapest sublimation inks available, you might think that Printers Jack would be sub-par in printing quality, but the colors are both vibrant and accurate once you have got your printer settings dialed in from a couple of test prints.
I have no hesitation in naming this as my pick of the best sublimation ink for Epson EcoTank 7720 and 7710, thanks to the excellent value for money and additional extras such as syringes to more easily fill your cartridges and a free ICC profile to enable you to accurately match your printed colors to your monitor colors.
One of the potential issues with using the Epson WorkForce 77XX series for sublimation is that this printer uses cartridges rather than the ink reservoirs of the EcoTank 27XX series, but this full sublimation ink kit with syringes makes this a painless process, provided you follow the steps below.

Epson 7720 and 7710 Sublimation Color Accuracy

Re-filling the Epson 7720 and 7710 with sublimation ink requires a syringe to get ink into the cartridge.

Many people who fail to produce sublimation prints where the colors don’t match those they see on their monitors blame the ink, but this is often a case of a mismatch between your display’s color profile and that of the ink and printer.

Obviously you can’t change the color profile of the ink, so you must adapt your monitor color profile to that of the ink.

You can do this using an ICC profile which can be applied within Photoshop or your favorite editing program. You should be able to download a free ICC profile for this ink and the Epson 7710 and 7720 from Printer Jack’s site, but it appears that they are updating these as this article was written, so may not be available.

I would suggest that you contact Printer’s Jack directly for the ICC profiles, or search online for user created ICC profiles, such as those by Sublimation Studies, and then you can read about how to integrate this with Photoshop on Adobe’s site.

Converting Your Epson WF 7720 and 7710 to Sublimation

The process of converting the Epson Work Force 7720 and 7710 to sublimation printing is a little more involved than that for converting the 27XX series, due to the use of cartridges rather than ink tanks, but this is still an easy process if you follow the steps in the below video.

Ideally you need syringes for this, unlike with the Ecotank 27XX series of Epson printers, which is why the above Printer’s Jack kit is recommended for the Workforce 77XX printer series.
