I always have a great experience getting my film developed here. Good prices and 24 hour turn around.

Google Reviews

Photoreal have been around in Brooklyn for over thirty years and offer a wide range of services in addition to film developing, like digitizing old film and selling brand new rolls.

They don’t develop E-6 or any non-standard 35mm or 120mm film, but offer same day service in most cases, and one of the cheapest 24 exposure, 35mm C-41 processing in the area, if not the country!

Exposure Therapy is the ONLY place I get my film developed.

Google Reviews

Showing how much cheaper film labs are in Brooklyn rather than Manhattan or New York as a whole, Expsoure Therapy have strong prices for developing + scanning in particular.

E-6 prices are a little steeper, but they do at least offer E-6 processing, which is not a given for modern independent photo labs.

Turnaround for developing and scanning is usually 2 – 3 days.

The membership option is great and the quality of work is phenomenal. The user interface is exceptional and I love the option to order larger scans as needed.

Google Reviews

Nice Film Club have invested in a much more up-to-date, user-friendly web portal than other film labs, meaning that you can easily see your scanned negatives online, then choose which you want to scan at a higher quality or print.

They do work using a membership structure, but include free pre-paid USPS labels in every tier, meaning that you can mail film from outside Brooklyn.

Membership is a yearly cost with developing and scanning extra on top, so this is really only good value for money for pros, or those who need their film developed and scanned quickly and to the absolute highest quality.

They will accommodate cross processing, bleach bypassing and any other creative methods you are interested in and offer a real, personal service.

They use an Imacon 848 for scanning, which are made by Hasselblad and give results nearly indistinguishable from drum scanners.

This is my go to film lab in Brooklyn! Shrey is always so warm and accommodating.

Google Reviews

Westlab have a smaller range of services than other labs in Brooklyn, but what they do offer, they do very well.

Their store is only tiny, meaning that can’t accommodate complex processing like E-6, but they will process 110mm film, which is not typically seen in the area.

Lovely family owned place. Great job of developing, scanning and emailing the results.

Google Reviews

Another family-owned photo lab in Brooklyn, Accurate Photo Shop has a loyal customer base who appreciate the fast turnaround times and friendly service.

Prices are at the cheaper end of the NYC range, starting at $7 for C-41. Same-day service for color processing (provided drop-off is before 3pm) and next-day for black and white as standard makes Accurate Photo Shop very competitive for standard color negatives, and you can see why they have so much repeat custom.

The standard range of prints and scans are also possible, along with a wide selection of enlargement prints.

Unlike many of the other small photo labs, they accept card payments with a $10 minimum.

A picture perfect place for all your photo needs! The owner Dom, has done an amazing job creating a community within the Brooklyn neighborhood & beyond.

Google Reviews

Photodom has very cheap prices for film developing, starting at $6 for a roll of 35mm following the C-41 process. They will also cover E-6, B+W and ECN-2, the latter of which is relatively rare to find in photo labs these days.

Processing is typically around one hour for C-41, making Photodom ideal for same day film developing, but stretches over several days for the other film stocks. Note that you cannot push or pull film here.

There’s also a more limited menu of scanning and printing than other labs, but Photodom offers a wide-range of services in addition to photo development, including camera sales and rentals.

I dropped two rolls off earlier this week for developing/scanning and got back both sets of scans today; I couldn’t be happier!! The scan quality is great, they have a great selection of film stocks, and the team seems to be a lovely bunch.

Google Reviews

If you’re out in Brooklyn, then NYC Film Lab offers a wide selection of services, including the standard color side film processing, color negative processing and black and white developing.

You can get a variety of JPG and TIFF scanning options with their Noritsu scanners.

NYC Film Lab currently only offers 1 stop of push / pull with black and white film, but hope to also offer this with C-41 in the near future.

Turnaround times can be a little slower than other labs, particularly if you are processing B+W, but you should be able to get your developed film back within a few days regardless.

I’ve only used their processing service after dusting my old Canon off. Prices are reasonable and turnaround was fast. The scans were great!

Google Reviews

Gowanus Darkroom handle most types of film processing, with real attention to detail from the staff, but what really sets them apart is the darkroom rental options.

You can process your own film in their darkroom if you wish, and also use their scanners and enlargers, although you have to supply your own paper.

They also offer a lot of classes and have studio space available for rent.
